We Do the Heavy Lifting

Dutch homes present unique challenges for furniture removal:

Narrow staircases: Traditional Dutch homes have notoriously steep, narrow stairs. Our team is experienced in manoeuvring large items down these challenging spaces.

No lifts: Many apartment buildings lack lifts, or have lifts too small for furniture. We carry items down multiple floors when needed.

Tight doorways: Dutch doors are often narrower than in other countries. We disassemble furniture to fit through, then reassemble or dispose of appropriately.

Canal houses: Historic properties in city centres have their own challenges. We’re experienced with furniture hoisting and using external lifts when internal removal isn’t possible.

Same-Day Service Available

Need furniture gone today? We offer same-day removal for urgent requests (subject to availability). This is particularly useful when:

• You’re moving out and the furniture won’t fit in the removal van
• A new delivery is arriving and the old piece needs to go first
• You’ve inherited furniture you don’t want
• You’re renovating and need the space cleared

Responsible Disposal

We don’t just take your furniture to the dump. Our disposal process prioritises reuse and recycling:

Donation: Furniture in good condition goes to local charities, social enterprises, and kringloopwinkels (secondhand shops). Your old sofa might furnish a student’s first flat or help a family starting over.

Resale: Quality pieces - especially designer or vintage furniture - can be sold. We can buy items directly or consign them on your behalf.

Recycling: Furniture that can’t be reused is broken down for materials recycling. Wood, metal, and textiles are separated and sent to appropriate facilities.

Disposal: Only genuinely unusable items go to waste facilities - typically less than 20% of what we collect.

Pricing

Furniture removal is priced per item, with discounts for volume:

• Multiple items: ask for a quote
• Complete room clearance: often more economical than per-item pricing
